After making her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, Sara Ali Khan has returned to India and is busy promoting her upcoming film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
At the prestigious festival, Sara wore both Indian and Western outfits.
For her debut, she wore an ivory Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla lehenga with two dupattas.
Another appearance saw her wear a strapless black gown with gold heart-shaped details that formed to create a large heart.
The floor-length dress accentuated her figure as she completed her look with minimal makeup and sleek hair.
Speaking about her Cannes appearance, Sara said:
“I think it’s important to promote ‘Indianness’.
“We are such a culturally rich country. We have so many languages, emotions and so much depth and I’m proud to be able to talk about it on a global platform.
“I was invited by the Indian pavilion (at Cannes) and I was also invited by the Red Sea Film Festival people who invited me there to celebrate women both behind the camera and in front of the camera.”
She stated that she got to represent the three aspects of her personality – woman, actor and Indian.
