Vivek Agnihotri aimed a dig at ‘Besharam Rang’ and said people who were “secular” should not watch what he had shared.

The Kashmir Files director reshared a video which featured a teenage fan criticising the Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan song.

The video was a split-screen between the girl and ‘Besharam Rang’.

In the video, the girl calls herself a “big fan” of Pathaan‘s cast, director and producer. However, her praise quickly changes as she asks:

“Why do you wear such provocative clothes and show such moves… you call this content?”

The girl goes on to blame such videos for the crimes against women, asking why the cast and filmmakers could not make “clean content” like others do on streaming platforms.

She continues: “Why do you do this? For money? What are these words you use for songs, the costumes you make celebs wear? Are you not ashamed?”

Towards the end of the video, the girl spoke on behalf of Indian women and asked the filmmakers not to make such “provocative” content.

She added: “Please change your scripts, and change your direction…”

Alongside the video, Vivek Agnihotri wrote:

‘Besharam Rang’ was the first Pathaan song released, however, the song was heavily criticised.

Many said the song was promoting vulgarity, citing Deepika Padukone’s revealing outfits and dance moves.
