Warrant issued for Toronto man in connection with Brampton homicide
Investigators from Peel’s Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have issued a warrant for first-degree murder in connection to the death of 28-year-old Heeral Patel.
The warrant is issued for 36-year-old Rakeshbhai Patel of Toronto, the ex-husband of Patel.
Peel Regional Police located the body of Patel on the afternoon of Jan. 13 after responding to a report that a deceased person had been located in the area of Nexus Avenue and Fogal Road.
Police launched an investigation into the death after they deemed it suspicious.
Patel has been identified as a suspect in the homicide and investigators are encouraging him to seek legal counsel and turn himself in.
Patel is believed to be travelling in a silver 2009 Honda Civic four-door car with Ontario licence plate CDMP 042.
