Ritesh Sidhwani recently hosted a party at his house for Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar.
The couple got married on February 19, 2022.
Bollywood stars including Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora, Kareena and Karishma Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan’s kids, Aryan and Suhana Khan attended the wedding bash.
Shah Rukh Khan, however, couldn’t make it to the party.
A source close to the Bollywood superstar revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was missing from Ritesh Sidhwani’s party for Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar because he wants to keep a “low profile”.
The source said: “Shah Rukh Khan is trying to keep a low profile as much as possible.
“Unless it is for his work, he is not willing to step out.
“After his son’s arrest in an alleged drug case in October 2021, Shah Rukh Khan has made fewer public appearances.
“The one time he was spotted was during Pathan‘s shoot and his look went viral.
“Post that, he was seen at Lata Mangeshkar’s funeral.”
Though Shah Rukh Khan didn’t attend Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding, he did extend good wishes to the couple.
The source added: “He called up Farhan and Shibani and congratulated them on their wedding and sent them best wishes.
“His family went to the function and represented him.”
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
He will be making his comeback with Siddharth Anand’s Pathan, also featuring Deepika and John Abraham.
In other news, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan is set to make his debut in the entertainment industry, but not in front of the camera.
Instead, he will be a screenwriter.
On numerous occasions in the past, Shah Rukh Khan has said that his son has no interest in acting and is more inclined towards the creative aspect of filmmaking.
Aryan’s long-time goal is to reportedly become a director.
According to reports, Aryan has written several ideas, including two that are being developed into a web series and Bollywood film.
Aryan Khan graduated from the University of Southern California in 2020. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Cinematic Arts, Film and Television Production.
