Yo Yo Honey Singh will be collaborating with Sonakshi Sinha for the first time in nine years as he unveiled the teaser for his new track ‘Kalaastar’.
The track will be part of his upcoming album Honey 3.0.
His last album, Desi Kalakaar, was released in 2014 and was immensely popular.
Since the teaser for ‘Kalaastar’ was released, fans have gone into a state of frenzy as they shared their excitement.
One fan wrote: “A man who was born to rule the world of rap is making a comeback. I can’t wait.”
Another said: “Honey Singh is not just a singer, he is a bundle of emotions.”
Sonakshi Sinha took to social media to tell her fans about her latest project.
Her post read: “After 9 long years, the moment is finally here!
“Yo Yo Honey Singh is ready to unveil Kalaastar, the second chapter featuring AsliSona.”
The teaser shows Honey being released from a Texas jail and being referred to as a “superstar” by one of the prison wardens.
As his possessions are returned to him, viewers will notice the iconic shirt he wore for ‘Desi Kalakaar’.
Greeting a friend, Honey asks about his girlfriend.
Emotions surface when he is told that his girlfriend married another man three years ago and now lives in Amsterdam.
The teaser ends with Yo Yo Honey Singh telling his friend he wants to win his love back, declaring:
“I want my girl back. Let’s go Amsterdam.”
What follows next is his quest to win back the girl he fell in love with.
A glimpse of Sonakshi is shown pointing a gun at Honey’s head.
Speaking about his music comeback, Honey described it as a struggle to reclaim his previous prestige after a hiatus due to health issues.
“I’m exploring myself because I haven’t made music for five years.”
Honey previously opened up about his battle with depression, revealing that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone helped him.
Yo Yo Honey Singh is a man of many talents. As well as being a music producer, he is a rapper who began his career in 2003 as a recording artist and quickly became highly popular in the world of music.
Some of his most famous songs include the likes of ‘Lungi Dance’, ‘Brown Rang’ and ‘Lak 28 Kudi Da’.
